Hello all!
I'm wondering if there's a procedure I can follow to install ICA Client on my PCs (Win2k/XP) just once, without having to configure it for every user.
I actually install it as "local\Administrator" and set it to use "Pass-through Authentication". When I logon as an unprivileged user, I have to reconfigure the authentication and also the farm server's IP addresses.

Who can help me?

Thanks...

Have a look at the doc ica32.pdf and the section "Configuring Program Neighborhood for Silent Installation"

I have only done this once myself; mainly to get rid of the hotkey settings that are defaulted in PN.

Essentially I extracted the installation files and then updated Citrix Client\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Classic\pn.ini and pn.src with ones from a configured client. That gave me the server settings and I also replaced
Citrix Client\Program Files\Citrix\Application\ICA Client\appsrv.ini
Which gave me the hotkey settings.

I install mine off a nw share with the extracted files as a silent install; I haven't combined them back to an MSI but if you google that it doesn't sound very difficult.

Good luck

In your environment, is there a need for the FULL PN Client? We have 1600 users on 60 Citrix Servers that access all Published Applications through Web Interface 3.0 and use the Web Client 8.x pushed down from the Web Servers. We have had no issues using the Web Client as far as lack of functionality and this keeps everthing dynamic with no action required on the users PC's.
