Hey gang:

I am using my SBS as a time server and would like to know how to set up my HP UX to update it's time from this server. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry to be thick - what is an SBS server?

Mike

To err is human, but to really foul things up you need a man; women just don't have the flair for it.

Windoze Small Business Server? I assume HP supports ntp? If so, you could probably use that to synchronise your time accross the servers. man ntp for further details or post back with specifics.

I think the command to update ntp on the HP-UX from a remote ntp server is ntpdate. There is also a daemon called xntpd. Both of these seem to have decent man pages. I have nver used it so I am sorry that I have no further information.
