Have a magix 2.0 with Merlin Messaging 2.5.

All incomming calls go to main recept ext. 300.
When they push the night button the Auto Attendant, the Night greeting picks up after first ring. ( which works like they want it)
Now they want all calls to ring the recept and after 4 rings go to the day greeting.
How do you route calls on the PRI to ring 300 then go to Auto Attenant day greeting?
Thanks

Well, the easiest way would be to assign 300 as Auto Attendant 1 in the Messaging. Assign 300 to group coverage. Change the group cover delay for 300 to 4 rings.

Oh, as far as routing calls to 300, use an incoming call route under PRI.

Thanks, I was trying to set it up like you would analog lines and the calls would not go to the auto attendant when testing it.
Their is a couple of extensions that have a cover button for extension 300 programmed on them. That should not effect this senario should it?
Thanks

Yes - if the cover buttons are "delayed" vs "immediate" ring - it will delay the timing for the AA answering. If they are delayed ring - you should also change Transer Return rings under Options - and - under Auxiliary Equipment, VMS/AA to 6 rings vs the default of 4.

So you should play with the Operator Extention's "Cover Delay" settings under Group Coverage. The default is 3 - and you may need to reduce it to 2 or 1.

Tom,
Thank you for that info.
