I have a PC at office running NT4-Workstation, connected by
network adapter to a large network of NT Servers. When login,
I got my IP from DHCP. On my PC, I also have a modem attached.
I have installed the RAS facility on my PC. Now, at home I have
a PC running NT4-Workstation without network adapter, and it has
a modem attached. What I want is to call the modem on my office
PC, then have my office PC do a callback to my home PC. I tried,
but I couldn't even get my office PC to call back. On my home PC,
I got MS Loopback Adapter and RAS installed, but otherwise I think
I just don't know what & how to set up. I'd really appreciate
someone providing a guideline here, e.g.
- how to set up TCP/IP (Control Pannel/Network) at office & home.
- how to set up RAS
- how to set up the modem
- anything else I need to set up.
Final note, to connect to ISP from either my office PC or
from my home PC there is no problem at all.

much thanks,
A little additional note: SP4 is installed.
It would also help me to understand when
my office PC does a callback, do I need
to set up RAS on my home PC to accept the
callback?

thanks again,
