My system is Solaris and I has a perl script that just send the email when the Node down. I created the file Allow_all at /etc/opt/OV/share/conf/trustedcmds.conf and put the path of my script in Command For Automtic Action (optional) below (/var/myscript.pl).

Also I put "For testing: $2 down" for pop up Notification (optional) but when the node is down, I didn't see either pop up the alert or error of my script. It doesn't work at all.

Please help,

Thank you

If you Server is in a soloris box and the bos have a sendmail you can send the email with automatic actition like this:

echo "Subject: MESSAGE_TEXT" | mail email@account.com

The Server that execute the acction must be your OVO server.
