Does anyone know how to set/control the screen resolution on a Ultra 10, Solaris 8 system. A user came in one morning and said that her windows no longer fit on the screen. It was like going from 1024x768 to 800x600. She also mentioned that the screen flickers. I'm wondering if this is due to the refresh rate. If so, how do I adjust that?

Thanks!!

There are two ways: 1. at the ok prompt
2. on line command

1. ok prompt
ok setenv output-device screen: r1024x768x76
ok reboot

2. on line command:

What is frame buufer are you using?
If the built in M64
# m64config -res 1024x768x76 -now

The 76 is the refresh rate

If you go to there is a document that list everything you would want to know about the frame buffer settings. The sunsolve doc is 10761

Thanks a million Tuka. I appreciate it.

I forgot to put a = between output-device and screen
ok setenv output-device=screen: r

Also if you fo to and search for frame
buffer faq there is a good article.
