Hi

I am doing a lot of importing from Excel into Access. When ever I do this I have to select Excel file type from the drop down list in the import window before the file I want to import is displayed.

Is there any way of setting the default file type to Excel so whenever I go to the import window to choose the file, Excel files are shown first?

Any guidance would be grately appreciated! Thanks.

Hi
Something like this:
IMPORT Excel Sheet into Access allowing user to select file
thread705-760625
May suit as a work-around.

Hi Remou

Thank you very much for pointing me towards that thread. It looks very good and I'm sure will be very good as a work around!
