How to set custom column widths & flow columns ?

We want to design our page from scratch... on an odd size sheet for printing on a large scale printer.

1 - How can we setup the number of columns (6)
2 - and the space between columns
3 - and the margins at the top, bottom & sides?
4 - Flow text from one column to another?
5 - Set the column height... so maybe all news on top of page and ads below.
6 - Create space for the Mast Head at the top of the page.
7 - Can we create/design ads in a seperate instance of Publisher... and then later copy & paste them into the bottom section of the actual page that will be printed?

Which version of Publisher?

All of the things you've mentioned can be done in Publisher that the person who is tasked with this has no Publisher experience.
