we have here Siemens hipath 4000 v6 and i want to set a line (analog or digital) as a hot line
i really did try but i couldn't hope get anything use full from you and sorry for my bad English .
thank you ....
I know V5 and haven't touched V6 yet. I'm probably going directly to V7, but....
First, in order for it to work you MUST have "Hot" checked in the COS assigned to the phone. If you don't have a COS for HotDest make a new one. Mine has HOT, CCBS and FWDECA checked.
Then, for the actual station, under classmarks, you must have "hotline" checked. (or Off Hook Recall - not sure if both need or can be checked)
Then you must also enter a Hotdest in the Basic1 tab to tell it where to go. (Hotdest targets are set up under Tables).
I will have to be in the office to look some of it up. I assumed you were using the assistant, which is much faster in these kinds of cases.
In my 9006 world I would use DIS-COS to display the COS tables, and then the ADD-COS or CHA-COS as needed. I have a comparison chart in my office that compares 9006 to 4000 for AMO changes so I can't confirm that. Also in my 9006 world I would use CHA-SCSU to modify the station (SCSU does Analog in 4000, SBCSU does digital) and I would enter the number of the hotline dest in the HTLNIDX (I believe) parameter. I don't know if that's the same. To add or change a hotline number in 9006 I would use DIS-ITRHO to display ALLDEST to see what's already there. If I needed a new one I would use ADD-ITRHO, I think type would be HOTDEST, then the destination extension, and possibly you might have to specify the next open spot in the table (one higher than what you just displayed). Like I said - that is all for 9006 for the Hicom 300. There are a lot of programming similarities, but quite a few differences. One of the big ones is that in the 4000 the station parameters seem to be split between several AMOs, and I usually have to look them up. For that kind of stuff it's way faster to use the assistant. Usually if I have to create a bunch of stations I will use Expert Mode macros to create the stations, apply CFW settings, and usernames to the phones, and then finish all the rest in assistant.
I'll look for more when I get back in the office tomorrow or so.
