How to separate the character string by '/ '

I need to separate the 30,000 row strings from one column in this type '/1xxxx/2xxxxx/3xxxxx' to a hierarchy
structure like '/1xxxx', '/2xxxxx' and '/3xxxxx'. I can not find instr or decode function in SQL server. Please help me by sending answer to fli@keylogic.com. Many thanks
