How to set the header to send HTML code message to Web-based e-mail server?

I set "Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii" and works fine for pop3 server by using Outlook Express & Netscape Communicator. And the header does not work on web-based mail server.

Thank you.

The problem is with the web-based e-mail server. The CGI programs on the web server should deal with HTML formatted e-mail (for want of a better term...) Your local e-mail server should not be doing any reformatting of any e-mail content. All that your (in fact, any) mail server should be doing is passing on a text message to another e-mail server somewhere else. Leave the message formatting to the mail client (ie, Outlook Express), and the display formatting to the remote web-mail server (ie, Hotmail).

--
How to send an attachment via sendmail, by typing the command at command line?

you have to encode the attachment ... i found a good example on sendmails site i think ( could be it was just a general internet search actually) but you encode the file (mimencode it i think) and then pipe it in with your message ...
