how to send a MS-Word file to a printer

Does anybody know how to send a Microsoft Word file to a printer in a MS-DOS command?

If I write type file.txt > \\PRINTER1 the file "file.txt" will be printed in my printer.

How to do this but whith a Microsoft Word File???

I haven't tried it, but what about
Copy FilePath\FileName.doc LPT1
