how to select a column in large document

Looking to select an entire column throughout a large document with many pages. There is a table in teh word doc, I'm trying to select the column in ALL the pages. It works to select the column on one page, but I can't select the entire column through all pages.

Try viewing in NORMAL rather than PAGE.

If this really is a Word table?

Tables that are left to automatically paginate (break over the end of a page) act as a single table, so selecting a column will extend over the entire length of the table.

If you cannot, it suggests that the table has been manually paginated so that each page has an independent table.

Agree. If this is a real table, click at the top of the column, at the start of the table. The cursor should be a wee down arrow. The entire column is selected.
