Is there any program that would monitor the usage of intranet, counting the hits for every individual page and then display them in some nice and tidy way? I'd like to know which pages are the most popular, without putting a counter to every page amd checking them out one by one...

If I were going to implement this, I would put in some server side code that incremented a database value -- this may or may not be what you're looking for.

If you would like for me to post an ASP solution, let me know, and I will.

Your server logs should contain all the information you need to do this. You'll have to write or find a program to process them.

A confession: Actually this is totally wrong place for me, since all I can do is simply html and such.. But I found this site helpful and therefore joined. This means that I really always need a simple solution , such as ready-made program or stuff.. :/

But I talk about those server logs with our other employees and see if they already have the info I want.. (I'm only a summer face here.. ). Would somekind of ASP program / Perl-script be the solution to parse the server information to a human-readable-style?

Thanks for your help..

I don't know about ASP, but a perl script would be useful to parse the server logs. You may even be able to find one that is already written to display the information you want. Tracy Dryden
