Hi All,

I am a total Linux newbie, so forgive me if this is an easy one, but I've been banging my head on the wall...

We built a Red Hat server and partitioned the drive during the install, but I know we left a large amount of disk unpartitioned.

How do I see how much disk I have free?

Thanks,
PD

As root try:

fdisk -l

This will give you a listing of what HDD you have and their partitions.

Thanks.

We ended up using the vgdisplay command which showed us how much disk we had free. We were then able to make a filesystem using the mke2fs command.
