Hi all

In one of the dbs that I am administering a user had created a private view. Now that user has left the org there is one action button associated with this view Now as an administrator I am not able to see the button.

Is there any way by which I can see this private view and if possible change this to Shared view.

If this requires coding then I would like to use formula as I am scarred of using Script.

Regards

Private views cannot be changed to shared (and vice-versa). The type is determined at design time and cannot change afterwards - even in design mode.
Your Notes admin should be able to access the view and remove it.
Failing that, this thread (IBM) should show you how to design an agent to remove all private views - unfortunately in LScript.
Formulas can only do interface things, or basic calculations in a document. LScript is much more powerful, and a lot easier to debug. I was wary at the beginning also, way back when R4 had just been released, but believe me, I do almost everything in LScript now.

Pascal.
