I have an issue where I need to limit print use during specific times of the day. I would like to schedule print use, so while we are printing important books and calendars during the day, I would like a specific printer to be "off Limits" to other people.

How can this be done in Windows 2003 server?

I know you can go directly under the printer in "Printer and Faxes" in Advance and choose a time available, but I would like to limit just certain groups from printing to a specific printer.

I would create two print queues, for each printer, on the server. Say, printer1 and printer2. Printer 1 I would assign users to a security group that has permission to print. In the properties page of printer1, under the advanced tab, should be a choice to make the printer 'Always Available' or 'Available from.' Set the Available from to the time you want the users to be able to print. On printer2, assign a security group whos members are resposible for printing the important books. Just leave the printer 'Always available.
