Hello,

I have a task I want Linux server to always run, but sometimes the server crashes and has to rebooted. In that case that task has to be restarted manually. I would like the task to be in the list of startup tasks, so it is loaded upon restart. Where would you put the script that has to be run? Any help would be appreciated. I have looked to an alternative using cron daemon, but it is not exactly what I need. Thanks in advance.

Put your task on /etc/rc.d/rc.local.
The task will run on linux start up.
