I am using Photoshop CS, and would like to save an image in JPEG format. However, JPG is not one of the options on the 'SAVE AS' menu. I did that that JPEG be included when photoshop installed. What am I missing?

What mode is your image in? RGB, CMYK, LAB etc. "Save As" a jpg is not available in all formats. A better way to save a jpg is to use the "Save for Web" option, it's available for all modes and give better control than the "Save As" option.

You may need to flatten a multi layered image.

Layer > Flatten Image

Once this image is flattened there ain't no un-flattening so you may want to save a copy of the unflattened image first
