how to run form but not in browser

testing oracle 9i personal and oracle 9i dev suite setup on laptop

trying to run test form but getting browser error "the page cannot be displayed"

no experience of running forms via a.s. so want to see if form will run in non-web environment

understand that web is default runtime environment

how do i get form to run in non-web (non-default)desktop environment ? apologies if question has not been framed correctly ...

happy to read (RTFM) documentation if someone can point me in right direction

oops ! thank you sem ... back to drawing board ...

any idea of a check list to check if correct bits are running (which they are obviously not)? running win xp pro

ps had alook at the website ... are they all yours sem ? photos very slow to download on cable broadband - would you consider adding some english text sem ?

First you need to start the OC4J instance.

Then in the Forms builder Edit->Preferences->Runtime section set the application server URL to

http://localhost:8888/forms90/f90servlet

This is a site of my son. He's with his friends on one of the photos. And with his mother or father(me) on others.
I don't think he speaks English. In fact he doesn't speak any language (except his own!) yet.
