I have a Partner system Rel. 7.0 with Partner Messaging also Rel 7.0. with DIDs. I want to have the main number ring at the receptionist for 3 rings and then if not answered I want it to go to the Auto Attendant. How would I go about setting this up? The best I've been able to do is to get the main number to ring on x10 but if not answered it goes to ext 10's mailbox. Or I can route it directly to the AA w/o it ringing first on ext 10, but can't seem to get it to do both.

Delete mailbox 10. Recreate it, but assign it to Automated Attendant No. 1, "with a phone". Now calls to the DID that rings at Ext. 10 will cover to voicemail, but be answered by the Auto Attendant.

RE 1043: I do have a T-1 with DIDs.

RE TouchToneTommy: Thanks for the info. I may not be onsite until next week but will let you know how it turns out.

In addition to TTT's suggestion you also want to make sure that the dial 0 / timeout option is not extension 10 any more otherwise people press 0 and if 10 doesn't pick up the Auto Attendant will answer
