how to retrieve querystring part in a url

I want to get the querystring part of a url. For exapmple, if url is:

http://www.mydomain.com/myscript.asp?name1=value1&name2=value2,

I want to use some asp functions to retrieve the string "?name1=value1&name2=value2". How can I do this? Thanks for help!

If you're wanting the entire string and aren't really needing the individual string variables, then the Instr() and Mid() functions should do the job.

X = Mid(,Instr(1,[url],"?",1),len([url])
