Hi,
when restoring a drive from a full and a subsequent differential backup I realize that files and folder that have been deleted between the two backups are back on the drive. How can I restore the drive exactly as it was at the time of the differential backup? ARCserve 2000 SP4 on W2K SP3.
Many colleagues I've talked to said that restoring a differential backup would never delete files. However, since the differential backup has the complete information on the directory tree (it is in the database) it should be able to recognize what has been deleted in the meantime.
So, what is the procedure to restore a drive exactly as it was at the time of the backup?
Thanks in advance, best regards,
Georg.
