How to Restore my documents which are there in VSS

Presently I am having VSS in Windows 2000 Professional, which is linked with my documents. I want to move from Windows 2000 Professional to Windows 2000 Server. I don't want to loose any of my previous work linked to VSS.

So should I take the backup & restore the same after setting up Windows 2000 Server? Or is there any other way??

Pl suggest at the earliest.
