How to restore individual eMail Message in BE v9

Hi,

How to select and restore individual message using the Exchange Agent?

I can restore the mailbox folder. But someone say it should be able to restore selected message only. How? I can not find the step from menu.

Never heard of this restoring individual messages, though I could be wrong.

I'm looking at 8.6 at the moment, so the layout will be a bit different...

In restore, select the job to restore from. Then select Exchange Server and drill down to the user then top of information store and navigate to the email. Tick the email and press restore.

Quite right I've just checked and there it is, you learn something everyday!

did you also now as a precaution to this and not having to go to your backup tape or device that you can set exchange to keep users emails that delete for any amount of days and by doing so you can go to the users client outlook and retrieve there deleted email right from thier work station. Of course this depends on how much space you have for your exchange server. I have mine set to 3 days worth.

and Dan, good suggestion. That is more effective and efficient to address the 99% of the requirement.
