On a small database I created a limited menu, toolbar and shortcut menu for a few of users. But I need a method other than using <shift> to bypass and restore the default menu and toolbar for maintenance and updates. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome and most appreciated? I didn't disable F11.

If you are using a login method to the application, have a separtate login id for you the developer. At login, by code check who the user is; if it is a general user give them the limited menu, if it is you the developer give the full menu.

Many thanks jdemmer, no login method on this app, I'm not that fancy. Besides, I placed the database on the users' shared drive which limits access to a few folks.

Well you may have to get creative. Put a button in the appliction "Developer". Then code the button to ask for a password only you know. If the password is correct, then proceed to change the menu to back to full menu. Then have another button to set the menu back to "user menu" or simply close the application. Just code the password into a variable that you use to compare against what is typed in when asked. Your application is no more vulnerable with the password hard coded because anyone can use shift to open it now.
