how to restore a mailboxe with the back up exec

A whole mailbox or just some messages? If it's a whole mailbox use the restore tab to find the server, mailbox and chose the top of the info. store. It'll place it in the person's existing mailbox.
If you're going to restore only certain messages, I would redirect the restore to another mailbox (I create a temporary one only for restores) and then forward the messages to the person.
All in all, I think you'll find the restore quite painless.
