I have a powerplay transformer cube that is rebuilt nightly. This normally goes without problems. Last night however the rebuild crashed with the error message "Uniqueness violation". It turned out the name of a staff member in one of my datasources was altered but the personal number didn't change. Somehow in the model Transformer had remembered the old name and number combination and when it tried to process the datasource with the new name and number combination it crashed.

The only way I have found to cure this is to manually remove the existing levels from the dimension in Powerplay transformer. This will remove the old name and number combination. Is there any way to remove old categories automatically before update?

check the move option in the Category Level properties, this will allow Unique categories to moved in the cube build.

Thanks to you both for the help. Checking the "move" box did the trick. And sorry for that double post. I wanted to rephrase my question and couldnt delete the old one.
