Hi,

Hope this makes sense and in turn is not me being stupid but I cont seem to find where to reset the voicemail password for a voicemail box attached to a hunt group. I can reset the vm password for user account through the OPS manager however the hunt group extensions dont seem to appear in the OPS manager. :(

Any ideas? any direction would be greatly appretiated.

I believe the VM system is native/embedded
I believe it is a Mitel 3300 system which covers multiple sites globaly

Thanks

You can log in to the admin mailbox (Usually 9999) and edit the hunt group mailbox passcode by pressing 2 to edit mailbox's.

Thanks, im a bit scared to try that though as 999 is the emergency number here in the UK (similar to 911) and on our system 9 is used to get an outside line thus(9)999 I think might get me into trouble.

Is there a way to do it though the System Administration Tools or the Group Administration Tools?

if you are connected to the voicemail and hearing its prompts then the chance of dialing 999 causing any issue is zero.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Oh right, sorry I didnt understand at 1st. I have tried what was suggested which then prompted me for the admin passcode for that mailbox. Unfortunately I am not sure what that passcode is either. The only logon details I have are the one's for the web interface.

Do you know by any chance where I could find the default passcode for this?

The passcode can be changed directly on the 3300 using the web interface. Form = Voice Mailbox Configuration

Thanks you to everyone as you have all increased my limited knowledge and a special thanks to kwbMitel as this was exactly what I was looking for.

Cheers
