HI, hope you will excuse my bad english.
Iv got my hands on a 3com 3CR860-95 router.
When I connected it I coulden't find it.
Can't find the admin before me on it and don't
know either the ip setted on it or the adminpassword.
It was used on a smaller network before, same kind as Im
going to use it for now. Just a couple o workstations that would acces to Internet thought it.
So I was woundering, is there a simple way to find out
the what Ip it uses, and if so, is there away to regain the password on it if changed. Don't think so, but in case?

Thankfull for all the help i can get.

Iv read alot of the documation I got my hands on. I downloaded some gateway-discovery programs for 3com, but haven't find the one matching my router. If anyone knows where I can download or get that copy please tell me.

Just connect a ordinary CAT5 cable between 2 of the four ports for LAN access. Wait two minutes and then power cycle the device.

the device will then be on 192.168.1.1 and have a blank admin password.

thanks,

Robert
