How to replace xml tag

Hello Sir,

I have an xml file and I want to replace the contents of one particular xml tag with a table tag. Please help me in this regard.

if you are using DOM API, then you can use replaceChild interface.

code example:

DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
Document document = builder.parse( new File("myXML.xml") );
Node nodeToReplace = document.getElementById("xmlElemetTag");
Node newNode = document.creatElement("newXMLElementTag");
nodeToReplace.getParentNode().replaceChild(newNode, nodeToReplace);
