Hi,

I know of the paint tool to replace colours, however does anyone know how to replace shades of one colour with shades of another?

Say for example you want to change lip colour from red to green. I can replace all shades of red with a single shade of green but of course it then looks two-dimensional. How do I replace shades of red with light and dark shades of green?

Easiest way to do this is to mask off the areas in question you want to change, change the color mode to LAB, and then use Tone Curve to adjust the various shades...

Another way to do it would be to do a rough mask around the object in question, create a new object from the mask, use the Color Hue adjuster to change the color, then create a clipmask from the object and "erase" the things you don't need.
