Hi,
I have an 1140E that seems to have gone bad. I want to replace it with a ready spare. I have the new phone set up for networking properly. When it asked me for Node and TN I'm not sure what to put there. Here is a PRT from the system on the ext:

DN 5962
CPND
NAME COMM CENTER
XPLN 27
DISPLAY_FMT FIRST,LAST
TYPE MIX
TN 000 1 04 08 DES 12 27 AUG 2008
TN 240 0 02 05 V KEY 00 H DES 11 27 AUG 2009
(1140)
TN 240 0 01 10 V KEY 00 H MARP DES 11 29 SEP 2008
(1140)

When I put in 5962 as the node and the first TN number above, the phone said "Invalid Node ID."

Can I do this before putting the expanded button panel on the phone? If so, can I just remove the extra buttons from the broke unit and put them on this new phone? Can you give me a little guidance?

Thanks!
Scott

put node 1

tn 240 0 1 10 if it says duplicate use other TN

In LD 11 or 20 (which ever you prefer) PRT the TNB of the bad phone. In the TNB you will see the NODE info. (probably NODE 1 but could be something else)

Thanks for the help. I got it to update its firmware. Now it says TN 000.1.04.08 is unequipped, and 240.0.1.10 is a duplicate. It took 240.0.02.05.

Is there going to be a problem when I carry the phone over to the office, plug it in and connect the extra keys?
