Hi,

You would need to go into the IIS server, right click on the website and click properties. on the "web site" tab click advanced next to the ip address, select your default entry and add a host header. The host header is what you want the site to be reachable as.

bobsa32, yopur suggestion was good, thanks, but it did not work. In IIS the exiting Advanced Web Site Identification is:
IP = Default, TCP Port = 11524, Host header = blank
I added the following entry:
IP = Default, TCP Port = 11524, Host header = companysite

When I type in browser: I get, "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

Do I also need to make an entry Host(A) or Alias (CNAME) in DNS?

you still need to add the port number onto the end eg

the only way around this is to put the website onto port 80.

This should not be a problem as long as the host headers on the other port 80 sites are different.

Something thats just occured to me, Whenever I have seen a Sharepoint install on an SBS box using port 80 it been to fix it almost certainly breaks the OMA/OWA on the default website.

Something to remember.

This does not work either. What else could I be missing?
