How to remove user from group 1

Can't seem to find it. I add users, add them to various groups, but how do I remove a user from a group?

Help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I don't mean to elaborate on the obvious, but if you have root permissions, on every unix flavor I've seen, you can:

vi /etc/group
