A branch office with a Merlin Magix system has recently shrunk in size, and is down to 2 (analog) trunk lines from 5. But now, when somebody makes an outgoing call 3 times out of 5 they get connected to a dead line. Of course, there are no manuals in sight... Is reconfiguring this simple enough that someone could offer step-by-step instructions to this Merlin neophyte? thanks//S

Menu -> System Program -> Start -> Lines/Trunks -> Pools -> 70 -> Enter

You should see 5 lines light up. Press the top three, and the LEDs will go out. Keep the bottom 2 lit.

Exit

This assumes that you have trunks 801 and 802 as being live, trunks 803-805 disconnected, and they were in pool 70 which is the default.

Otherwise, you need to supply more information regarding which trunks are live, which are disconnected, and your ARS tables.

Goos luck...

Worked like a charm. Thank you very much!
