How to remove suspect printer drivers?

I have problem a 100% utililisation on the Citrix 1.8-SP2/Win2k-SP1 server that I believe is a rogue printer driver. How can I be sure that a replacement printer driver is actually overwriting the existing one? For example, if I want to replace the "new" HP driver with a generic "old" Win2k driver, is the Update Driver option in the printer (on the Citrix server) going to do the job or is it going to keep the newer driver as in many client operating systems?

Interesting issue. I would suspect that (as with many other things) Windows 2000 will look at the older driver, note that it has a newer one in its database and update it.

I will investigate this one further...
