How to remove Site Titles (name) -- Sharepoint 2007...

Hello,

I've currently been working with my companies sharepoint site and as I'm going through modifying the site templates with Sharepoint Designer, it seems as though I can remove the site(name)titles on my individual sites, but when I go into the sitesetting area the site(name)title shows up and I cannot change it. So my nice clean top banner, which is now a picture, has the site name within it which I do not want.
