How To Remove Recovery Storage Group

I have created and successfully used a recovery storage group to restore/merge mailboxes. Now I need to delete this HUGE recovery storage group.

Is there a recommended method of doing this. I tried a manual delete and it would not work. I also read something about the shell command and I could not get that to work either.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Well, if you just want the API to ignore it so that normal restores work ok, you could try overriding the registry key:

I am more concerned with freeing up the 65GB of space the RSG is taking up.
