If I copy and paste an excel spreadsheet into a power point presentation a thin grey line is showed. Neither it is possible to hide the lines nor it has something to do with a frame around a cell in excel.
Can somebody help me? Thank you
The light grey lines are to do with the cell representation within Excel. When you copy and paste it into Powerpoint, Powerpoint does not know which bits you want to show and which you don't. So you have to explicit.
The way I get around the problem as you have described is to set the area I am copying and pasting into Powerpoint to white. So select all the cells you are copying, and click on the bottom right hand button on your tool bar and fill in the cells to be white in colour.
When you paste it into Powerpoint, the light grey lines will not show.
I didn’t worked exactly that way in my case but your hint lead me straight to the solution. It worked that way: Mark the excel sheet in Power Point and then right mouse click. Format object then change to Graphic. There you find a box which indicates that colour is set to automatic. Change it to black and white and voila the grey lines are history. I am using a German Version so the names may vary
Thank you for your help.

An even easier way to get rid of the grey lines is to turn off Gridlines in Excel before copying. To do this select Tools, Options then the View tab. De-select Gridlines. Now copy the items from Excel and paste into PowerPoint and no lines at all will show.
