I know this is probably in the registry, but this is worth it for me. I hate having the Documents menu on the start menu. It is just in my way, and slows things down if I hover over the wrong item. Also, it never seems to have any
useful documents in there for me.

So, how do I remove it? I found out once, but cannot remember how now....

Thanks for any info i can get.

Hello, Tekno5ile.

Import/merge the .reg file below, say, NoRecentDocsMenu.reg, to the registry.

;----below this line----
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoRecentDocsMenu"=dword:01000000

;----above this line----

Or... you can install TweakUI from the Windows PowerToys and have control over that 'feature' as well as many others.
