Every time I run Adaware, I get the same object for atdmt that was just removed. How do I permanently remove this virus?

Adaware specifies the following detail:
IE cache entry data minor cookie:mary@atdmt.com

Apparently something in my system is saving a cookie. How do I find out what is doing it?

First things first, just an FYI, this isn't a virus. There are several different terms currently used to define system threats. This one falls into the category of Spyware.

From a quick search, this appears to only be a tracking cookie. You should only acquire this by visiting the atdmt.com site (or one of its affiliates).

If Adaware is unable to remove this, then run a seperate spyware software.

Microsoft Antispyware
Spybot S&D

are two I'd recommend.

Another method to attempt removing this is to take the following steps.

1. Start
2. Control Panel
3. Internet Options.
4. Delete cookies

Last thing to check (I don't utilize Adaware so I cannot verify if this is true or not), is if there is a Quarentine of any kind where this file is being stored by Adaware. If so, then empty the Quarentine.

Final bit of advice, to ensure your machine is free and clear of all baddies.

Go to

And run their complete system checkup.
