I have a site on the west coast with a DC there. Problem is that site is physically down. I would like to remove it from my AD all together as I am getting strange errors in my Directory event viewer and suspect this is the cause. Can I just highlight the site and click DELETE?

How to remove a site

Before it will let you delete that site, you will have to move any DC's in that site to another site.
Then you can recreate that site if you like and move the server back into it.
