I am trying to find a good way to remotely monitor the free drive space on a server running Windows Server 2003. We do alot of automated backups, and occasionally end up without much free space on the drive which causes some major slowdown.

I would like to be able to setup something that will send a notification to me via e-mail or some sort of pop up message when I am low on space so I can go in and clean up some of the backups.

I haven't had much luck finding anything that will work, and am hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks!

You can setup alerting using the Performance monitor (Start->Run->Perfmon). From there you can have it send an alert to you, or run a program which can mail you.

Thanks guys, that solution is exactly what I was looking for, and much easier than expected.
