How to reliably rotate a video from a Samsung Galaxy ph and install into Win Movie Maker 1

Hm any video I take with my Samsung Galaxy s3 appears at right angles when I download into my pc.
I need to place there into Wins MovieMaker.
Is there an easy way to do this please.
I am using Win7 OS

Windows Live Movie Maker has a rotate left and rotate right button on the ribbon, does this not work?

Apologies I should have also said that the video I am trying to insert is in mpg4 format from my ph. And it keeps shutting down win moviemaker.

and no there is not rotate l/r button on my version which is 2011 version 15.4 etcetc

Why did they ever get rid of the timeline in WMM I do not know.
