I'm using Crystal 8 against a SQL Server 6.5 database (have same problem against a SQL Server 2000 database). Often I create views while I have Crystal Reports open - and then I want to be able to add that view to the existing/open Crystal Reports. The view doesn't appear in the list of available tables until I actually CLOSE Crystal and re-open. This is also true if I try to create a new report in Crystal using the new view. My first guess was that a log on/log off server might be quicker - but it won't let me log off while a report is open ....

Am I missing something really basic? I've tried doing a refresh in SQL Server (am using Enterprise Manager to create the views)... I've tried the verify database option - but that simply refreshes the view of the tables/views already being used.

Thanks in advance!

Select the data source in Crystal and select F5, that will refresh the data source.
