How to Recreate System Attendant?

I am taking down a mailbox store that I no longer need, but it contains the System Attendant mailbox.

I have read that I can safely dismount the store, reboot the server, and a new System Attendant mailbox will be recreated in another mounted store, but I am not confident it is that easy.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any suggestions will be most appreciated. Thanks.
