How to record voice from telephone.

I am to write a VB module which should answer the phone, and give a greeting message, and record the answer.

I don't know where to start from.

You need to get a copy of your modem's technical reference manual. It will have the AT commands needed to answer, play a wave file, and record a voice message.

A good place to start would be to look on eBay for a Hayes technical reference manual. As far as I know, they were the only modem manufacturer to send one to you free of charge when you registered your product with them.
