Hi,

after applying V5.1 patch kit 6 the /dev/printer socket is damaged and printing doesn't work. 'ls' lists it but 'ls -l printer' say 'not found'. How can I 'reconstruct' it? rm, mv, touch don't work.

Thank you for any hint.

David

# /sbin/init.d/lpd stop
# ps -ef | grep lpd (and kill any lpd that is still running)
# rm /dev/printer
# /sbin/init.d/lpd start
