We have a installed a VNX storage array and we want to reconfigure the data server backups so they are configured as CIF shares instead.
Can someone tell me how to proceed with this .

Thanks .

WOW - what an expensive media type!
However, for NW, this is nothing else but a standard AFTD as there is no specific 'VNX' media type.

So the general procure is ...
- Create a CIFS share and 'export' it
- Configure it as NetWorker AFTD with a CIFS device name

I am not quite sure i got your problem right :
Do you want to use your VNX for "backup-to-disk" ? I thought you have already some datadomains in place for that function.
If you want to use Datamovers in the VNX for providing CIFS shares to the users, the best way to back them up is using the NDMP protocol. You have to buy NDMP client licenses and define the VNX datamovers (celerra) as networker clients.
Hope this helps.
